Robert Ivan Engle, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away on August 9, 2016 at the age of 96. He was born August 1, 1920 to John Marvin and Ina (Smith) Engle in Burlington, Kansas, eldest of 5 sons. Robert served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a Design Draftsman and owned Rieco, Inc. He was a member of the Forest Park Christian Church and a longtime member of Modern Woodmen of America. Robert enjoyed gardening especially growing tomatoes. His hobbies were woodworking, home repair and ballroom dancing. Robert was a kind man with bright blue eyes and a sweet smile! He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Treva Engle; parents, John Marvin and Ina Engle and brothers, John Darrel and Harold Engle.
Survivors include his son, Steven Engle and wife, Toni; daughter, Anita Watson; grandchildren, Sara Engle, Michael Engle, JoNelle Strohbeen, John Engle, Steven F. Engle and Jason MacZura and wife, Amber; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Brielle, Jeffrey, Jacob and Michael; great-great grandchild, Benjamin; brothers, Clem Engle and wife, Darlene and Loren Engle and wife, Liz; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing will be held Monday, August 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Floral Haven Funeral Chapel in Broken Arrow.
