Services for Wayne Eual Ledbetter, of Piedmont will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gnatville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12-2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Ledbetter passed away Wednesday, August 09, 2016 at his home. Mr. Ledbetter was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and a 1960 graduate of Cherokee County High School. He attended Gadsden Trade School where he studied electrical repair. He was a former Boy Scout Master of Piedmont Troop 44. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, football, and watching western movies. Mr. Ledbetter was employed at Goodyear Tire Company in Cedartown, Ga for many years and retired from the City of Piedmont Water and Gas Department as a foreman. He was a local appliance repairman for many years and was known around town for inventing a remote controlled lawn mower.

Mr. Ledbetter was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Ludamae Ledbetter and sister and brother-in-law, Carol and J.T. Kiser.
