Gerald E Reynolds, 63, of Springfield, died at 8:48 a.m. Saturday at his residence. He was born Sept. 29, 1927, in Springfield, the son of Charles and Amelia Wieland Reynolds. He married Ila Green in 1950 in Springfield.
Mr. Reynolds was a member of the Church of the Little Flower, Knights of Columbus 2321, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and Telephone Pioneers. He had been a Navy veteran of World War II. He was employed at Illinois Bell Telephone Co. for 38 years and for two years at AT&T, retiring in 1984. He was then employed by Illinois Bell Communications as a service man.
Surviving are his wife, Ila; two sons and one daughter; five grandchildren; and several cousins.
