She was amazed at the mountains and snow that she’d never seen before. She worked house keeping jobs until shed finished her CNA training at St. James Hospital in 1964. She and her good friend Rita Zeigler were the First Senior Companions to start the program and got their picture taken with Governor Judy Martz after twenty years with the program. Anita was a Christian and loved the Lord and still at 97 knew all the words of the Hymns they sang at Church.

She loved her family. She was happiest on Holiday’s when she was surrounded by her family and all her grandchildren.

She also loved babies and they were her true joy. She loved helping people and taking care of the sick and elderly. She had many close friends and everyone loved her beautiful southern accent.
