Brenda L. Chambers, age 66, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord and be reunited with her loving husband, unexpectedly on Monday, August 8, 2016 at her residence. Brenda was a native of Carter County and was the daughter of Ray Vance, of Roan Mountain and the late Mary Barnett Vance. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ezekiel G. Chambers.

Brenda had worked as a legal assistant and was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her father include her son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Patty Chambers, of Hampton; her grandson, Tyler Chambers and wife Lindsey, of Hampton; six step grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and her special friends, Chad Cash, of Jonesborough, Drew Taylor, of Beech Mountain, NC, Michelle Caggiano, of Gray, TN, Savannah Colbaugh, of Jonesborough and Amy Williams, of Elizabethton; and Tip Smith, of Hampton; as well as her adopted dog, “Benny”, also survive.

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Brenda L. Chambers will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2016 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Charlie Trivette, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior the service on Thursday, or at residence at any time.

The graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Chad Cash, Drew Taylor, Mike Bowman, Dakota Bowman, Joseph Trivette and Daniel Morris, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Tip Smith, Rodger Ledford, Dakota Bowman and Todd Hull. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton at 9:00 AM on Friday, to go in procession.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the Carter County Humane Society, P.O. Box 134, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
