Joyce Ann Owen Moody, 72, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. She was a native of Jasper, Georgia but had lived in Harrison for over 30 years. Joyce loved to travel and fellowship with friends. She was an avid writer and loved writing poetry. She was a member of Ware Branch Church of Christ. She is survived by her parents, Enoch and Oma Holmes Owen of Ringgold, Georgia; husband, William (Bill) Moody; daughters, Sharon Stone and Sandra Jones, all of Harrison; sisters, Brenda Manious of Canton, Georgia and Treena Grimes of Cummings, Georgia; grandchildren, John William Stone, Robert Allan Stone, Jack Owen Stone, Jessica Ann Jones and Sarah Kayligh Jones; special niece, Stephanie Thomas of Kentucky; several special cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 2-9 pm at the Hwy 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral home or you may visit the online guestbook @ www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com The funeral service will be on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1100 am in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Michael Thomas and Doug Ferguson officiating.
