He was born April 8, 1940 in Willard,Ohio. Vincent worked for General Plug in Grafton as a machine operator until his retirement in 1993, and also formerly owned and operated a lawnmower repair business.
He served his Country in the Army. Vincent enjoyed watching all Cleveland Sports teams and working on cars.
Survivors include son Ronald Phillips of Elyria ,daughters Sarah (Brett) Thompson of Elyria, Dr. Nicole Zvosecz (Dr. Dan Carmichael) of New Orleans, Katie Zvosecz (Sam Stoddard) of New Orleans, grandchildren Peyton, Serenity, Samia, Madyson, and Lilyan, former wife Judi Phillips- Hall.
He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta (nee Evans), parents Max and Flossie (nee Carpenter), 3 sisters and 8 brothers.
Family will receive friends Saturday August 13, 2016 from10 AM until time of service at 12 Noon at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria 440-322-4626. Rev. Fr. John Seabold pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church Grafton will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery (Elyria), where full military honors will be provided by VFW post # 1079.
