EAST LIVERPOOL – Nancy L. Hoback, of Pleasant Heights, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 at home with her family surrounding her. She was 76.

Born in Steubenville, August 8, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Bernat Smith. She was a homemaker and lived in this area most of her life. Nancy had a strong faith in God and was a member of the Sacred Heart Church.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Hoback, at home. The couple married January 6, 1962. There is one daughter surviving, Tami Kittle and her husband, Bruce, of Pasadena, Maryland, a granddaughter, Allison Sura, as well as two great-granddaughters, Alivia and Sophia Sura.

Also left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Janet McCarron and her husband, Hugh, of Calcutta and Janice Simmons of Chester, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Arlene Wolf.

Friends may visit Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where a Liturgy of the Word will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.

A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at the Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 a.m. Thursday where Fr. Eric Antwi will be the Presider.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
