LIGONIER -- Merrill "Moe" Harness, 65, of 112 Northwood, formerly of Hamlet, was found dead in his residence Wednesday. The Noble County coroner ruled he died of natural causes on Dec. 1.
Mr. Harness retired from Monsanto Corp. He was born Sept. 16, 1930, in Hamlet.
Surviving are three sons, Rick, Bruce and David, all of Dallas; four grandchildren; four sisters, Loretta Pozorski of Plymouth, Mila Young and Peggy Harness, both of Culver, and Susan Fort of Knox; and four brothers Laverne and Jerry, both of Florida, Lawrence of Plymouth and Jeff of Knox. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet. Friends may call from 1 p.m. today until time of services in the funeral home.
