Bryan Greer Collins died August 6, 2016 at the age of 76. Mr. Collins was born December 18, 1939 in Memphis, Tennessee, to Ellis Morgan Collins Sr. and Helen Greer Collins.

He graduated from Forrest City High School in 1957 where is was actively involved in football. He was a member of the 1956 District Championship team and awarded All District Guard. He then went on to graduate from the University of Arkansas with Bachelor of Science degrees in Agriculture and Business.

On January 27,1963 he wed Betty Kathryn Goe of Forrest City, and they were married for 53 years. Upon completion of his education, the couple returned to Forrest City, to begin his business career with National Carpets. He retired from the business in 2000. His devotion and love to family and friends were the true passions of his life. His commitment to the Lord and to his church, First Baptist Church, remained most important throughout his life. He served in numerous roles as deacon, youth worker, Sunday School teacher, bus ministry, choir member, leader of Senior adults and many other ways, wherever needed.

A description of his life would not be complete without mentioning his avid following of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the St Louis Cardinals.

Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Morgan Collins Sr. and Helen Greer Collins.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Goe Collins, his three children Karri Collins Gregory of Forrest City, Ann Collins Moody (Craig) of Memphis, and Hank Collins of Forrest City and his six granddaughters Mary Elizabeth Gregory of Wynne, Hannah Kathryn Gregory of Jonesboro, Molly Jamieson Collins of Forrest City, Avery Grace Collins of Forrest City, Mckinley Greer Moody of Memphis, and Peyton Yancey Collins of Forrest City, his four siblings Morgan Collins (Virginia) of Fayettville, Joy Harrison of Forrest City, Faith Rhea of Forrest City, and Nancy Deisch(Peter) of Hilltop, Arkansas, and additionally numerous nieces, nephews and cousins,

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Forrest City on Wednesday, August 10, from 12:00-2:00. Funeral services will be at the church at 2:00. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home of Forrest City.
