Marilyn was born at Murphy's Maternity Home to Raymond and Winifred Warner.
She spent 33 years of her life teaching English at OPS/Burke High School in Omaha NE.
Marilyn won the National Endowment Seminar, National Endowment of Independent Study on Frontier Women, Con Agra Creative Teacher Award and League of Jewish Women on "isms" Award.
She was the President of Omaha AAUW form 2011-2012.
Marilyn traveled extensively throughout her life, which was one of her joys.
Marilyn moved to Eugene, Oregon in 2013 where she was active in P.E.O., was a generous donor to the Nobel Laureate's Peace Park and the Oregon Cultural Trust.
She was a collector of depression glass, vintage brooches, quilting fabric and all genre's of literature.
Marilyn loved to bake for her family and friends alike. She gave generously of her time, talents and her wealth. She will be missed for her gentle laugh and dry wit.
