Born December 10, 1939 in Wellsville, Larry was a son of the late Russell S. and Goldie I. (Harten) Moody, Sr.
Larry was a machinist by trade, papered by the state of Pennsylvania. He owned and operated Quality Engineering & Tool Co. in York for 41 years, retiring in 2014.
He was a former member of Society Manufacturing Engineers and Appaloosa Horse Club. Larry was an avid hunter and classic car enthusiast.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Gingermichele Kapp and husband, Chris of Brunson, SC and Colleen Filson and husband, Arthur of Hohenwald, TN; three sons, Larry Moody, Jr. and wife, Ronda of Lewisberry, Todd Moody and wife, Sharon of York and Brian Moody of East Berlin; seven grandchildren, September and Gabriele Kapp, Tyler, Kyle and Hannah Moody, Amber Baublitz and Courtney Glynn; two great-grandchildren, Addison Rosado and Jacob Hake; a sister Winnie Dawson of York and a brother Russell S.Moody Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Larry's funeral at 12 noon and the viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Lewisberry. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Christ UCC in Jefferson.
