West Stockholm-Mrs. Marlene B Wright, 94, died Aug. 6, 2016 at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Ogdensburg. Marlene was born June 21, 1922, daughter of Ernest Henry and Mabel Sanford Cheney. She graduated from Potsdam High School in 1940 and Business School in San Francisco, CL. on May 13, 1942 she married Winfred Wright in Norwood. He died Sep. 22, 1990.
Marlene was a member of the Potsdam Garden Club and secretary of Clarkson's Garden Club and retired 1988 from Clarkson University's Chemical Engineering Department; she had previously worked at the McMannis Restaurant. Surviving Marlene is a son William; a daughter, Linda Snyder; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her adoptive granddaughter, Jessica Mann and her two daughters.
Marlene was predeceased by her parents and her husband and a daughter, Sheila Mann on Dec. 25, 2015 and granddaughter, Anjeahlina Mann in Aug. 2011. Arrangements with Donaldson Seymour Funeral Home with interment in Fairview Cemetery, Parishville.
