Sandford "Demp" Sparks was born to Elbert Sparks and Eliza Morris Sparks on December 10, 1914 in Breathitt County Ky. He married Sophia "Sofa"Morris on June 11,1935. They had nine children, Rudy Sparks, Callie Sparks Raynes, Ada Sparks Dailey, Herley Sparks, Eddie Sparks, Arlie Sparks, Barbara Jean Sparks Brewer, Nancy Sparks Willoughby and Helen Sparks Willoughby.
