WELLS, DIXIE LOU, 62 of Louisville, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Baptist Hospital Northeast, LaGrange, KY, surrounded by her loved ones, after a long and courageous bout with cancer. She was a native of Adairville, KY and was a licensed practical nurse and a retired employee at the Central State Hospital. She was a member of Community Baptist Church, the St. Stephen Over the Hill Gang, Hospices volunteer, Suburban Cancer Support Group and Cancer Support Group at St. Stephen Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Hollice F. Townsend. She is survived by her two daughters, Tracey K. and Elizabeth Wells; mother, Pauline Townsend; sister, Brenda Stone (Robert); brother, Wendell Townsend; four nieces; one great-niece; and her pets, Bailey, Shelby, Seti and Tuesday. Funeral: 1p.m. Friday at Community Missionary Baptist Church, 4909 Indian Trail, with burial in Louisville Cemetery. Visitation: after 11a.m. Friday at the church.
