Bryan Jeffrey Hodges, 20, of La Habra, was born Oct. 15, 1990, and passed away July 11, 2011. A 2008 graduate of Sonora High School, he loved riding his motorcycle, playing baseball, watching movies and TV (especially Family Guy), and playing video games. He loved his family and friends, and everyone in return loved him.
He had a great sense of humor and was always smiling and laughing. He loved to tell jokes and was always making us laugh with one crazy antic or another. As much as he was jovial and full of life, he was also a very good listener and many people would go to him for advice or encouragement. He is truly one who will never be forgotten.
Visitation took place Wednesday July 20, 2011; a memorial to the life he lived took place Saturday July 23, 2011, at Rose Hills in Whittier. Bryan was an organ donor and his corneas, blood vessels, and skin were able to be used to help others.
Survivors include his parents, Rik and Maureen Hodges; his older brother David; his Uncles John Hurley and Bill Hurley; his Aunts Martha Burgoon, Evy Brady, and Ruth Hildebrand; his cousins Cole & John Archuleta and Lauren Burgoon, Maureen Chavez & her children Melissa, Alicia, Isabella, & Carlos; Amanda and Evy Hildebrand; his grandmother Marge Howard; his grandfather William Hurley of Seal Beach, and numerous other relatives and friends, including his friend Joshua Saylor. Preceded in death by his uncle James J. Hildebrand and his step-grandfather Alfred L. Howard.
