Alvin M. Lassetter, 74, of Rocky Face, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard & Flora Patterson Lassetter; step-mother, Ovie Lassetter; brother, James Lassetter; grandson, Kevin Lassetter.
Mr. Lassetter was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. at Julian Peeples Rocky Face Chapel. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Chris Whitehurst, Raymond Brewer, Doyle Slaughter, Eddie Albertson, Jack Townsend and Robert Hayes.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12-2 p.m.
