Mrs. Margaret Richards, 83, Selinsgrove, RD 1, died at 11:30 a.m. yeaterday at the Hollie Peace Convalescent Home, Selinsgrove after an illness of six years. Until recently, she lived with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Brandau, Selinsgrove, RD 1.

Born September 1, 1875, in Nescopeck, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Sarah (Welch) Arner. She lived in Hazelton before moving to Selinsgrove 15 years ago.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Espy, where her grandson is the pastor.

Her husband, Frank Richards, died 22 years ago.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Martin Brandau, Selinsgrove three grandchildren: Robert Brandau, Endicott, NY; Mrs. Shirley Tyler, Carlisle and Reverend Walter Brandau, Espy. Nine great-grand children also survive.

The funeral was held at the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home, 426 West Broad Street with Reverend Allen Snyder of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment in the Vine Street Cemetery.
