A1C 830 AF BOMB SQ, 509 BOMB WING

Airman First Class James Frazier was one of
eleven airmen aboard US Air Force B-50D
Superfortress #49-0271 killed when the
bomber stalled and crashed shortly after
takeoff from RAF Lakenheath, England.

The aircraft lost airspeed when the pilot
attempted to avoid a collision with other
bombers that were assembling into formation
for a training mission.

The air crew were from Walker Air Force Base
near Roswell, New Mexico.

The other airmen who perished were:
