Services for Amy Almont Combs Williams, 81, Cox Mill Road, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. Gerald Adams officiating.

Burial will be in the Gray Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

She died at 7:17 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

A native of Hopkinsville, she was born Jan. 16, 1924, the daughter of the late Rufus Boyd and Lula Florence Burgess Hill. She was employed with the Salvation Army and was a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Life Tabernacle of Hopkinsville.

Her husband, Walter Petrie Combs Sr., died in 1954. A son, Walter Petrie Combs Jr., and a daughter, Shirley Calvin, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, James "Jay" Combs, Hopkinsville; four daughters, Nancy Trumpeter, Della Mae and Dorothy Combs, all of Hopkinsville, Jeanette Hancock, Carmichael, Calif.; two sisters, Georgia Scott and Dorothy Scott, both of Hopkinsville, 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
