Betty Jane Park, age 94, of Fostoria, passed away August 7, 2016 at Good Shepard Nursing Home, Fostoria. She was born October 12, 1921 to the late Harry & Hazel Alspach in Wyandot County. She attended school in Upper Sandusky. In school Betty enjoyed writing and received a certificate for her penmanship. She played baseball and was a pitcher in grade school. Betty and her brother played the guitar. They would perform together at church socials. She married Warren Park August 23, 1941. Betty is survived by her sons, Ronald (Faye) Park of Fostoria, Eugene (Beverly) Park of Findlay, daughters, Diane (Denny) Kirchner of Tiffin, and Linda (George) Sauber of Tiffin, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and a sister, Neva Jean Alban of Upper Sandusky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Park, son, Carl Park, brothers, Wayne, Frank, Bud Alspach, sisters, Helen Case, Juanita Mott, and Annabelle Smith, and grandchild, Dawn Sauber. Visitation will be held on August 10, 2016 from 11am until a funeral service begins at 1pm at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH or the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
