Athlete. She competed in the early 1930s German championships. In the mid 1930s, her parents sent her to Great Britain to live and where she competed in the Wurttembergian championship and won the high jump. She competed for and tied the high jump at 1.60 meters. She emigrated to the United States where she married and settled in New York in 1937. She went on to win the high jump and shot-put. Her athletic career ended with the start of World War II. Among the many athletic accomplishments, she has been recognized and awarded for at least a dozen honors. Her sacrifice and legacy have been ranked up there with most influential people that have impacted athletics.
