Judy Juanita Day, 69 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, August 5th, 2016 at her home.

Judy was born in Johnson County, Indiana on September 13th, 1946, daughter of William and Winona Riley. She owned and ran a beauty shop for many years while living in Danville, Kentucky, and dearly enjoyed socializing with her family, friends, colleagues, and clients, while helping them look their best. Judy loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, entertaining, and taking care of others, including most recently spoiling her beloved grandchildren and her pet dogs.

Judy was survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Samuel Fredrick Day; one son, Brian Keith Day; daughter-in-law, Misty Crider Day; three grandchildren, Katherine Riley Day, Anna Elise Day, and Samuel Thomas Day; one sister, Patricia Blundon; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Winona Farmer; one brother, V.J. Farmer; one sister, Penny Townsend; one sister-in-law, Jane Pack; and three nephews.

The Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky was in Charge of the arrangements for Judy. At her request, no service were held.

THIS IS A TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF JUDY,

If you could see me now you wouldn't shed a tear, Though you may not understand why I'm no longer there. Remember my spirit, that is the real me because I'm still very much alive, I've just been set free. Oh, if you could only see!

I have held our Father's face and I've touched my Savior's hand. All of Heaven's angels rejoiced as I entered the promised land. Beyond the gates of pearl I've walked on the golden streets.

I've touched the walls of jasper and dipped my foot in the crystal sea. The beauty is beyond words and nothing could compare, I've even seen our Lords mansion and someday I'll meet you there. Let Jesus be your guide because "His Word" will show you the way. So please don't cry because we will meet again someday.
