Gender Male
Birth Date 7 Jun 1913
Birth Place Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA

Certificate Number 97437
NOTE 1: The above was a transcription of the record found on Ancestry.com
Pennsylvania, U.S., Birth Certificates, 1906-1913 for Walter Joseph Dubiel, 1913 ALL, 096301-099300, (A - Image 1415 of 3572) to see original document:
NOTE 2: The above is in regards to the actual photocopy of his birth certificate on which his name was originally indicated & spelled as Wladyslacw DUBIEL, but crossed out to put the full anglicized form of his first and middle names - Walter Joseph DUBIEL.
The Polish lower-case letter "l" in the latter part of Wladyslacw [the slacw part] looks more like a lower-case "t" on the document, but is in fact is an "l" with a slash/stroke through it to give it a slightly different (velarized) pronunciation.
Walter's mother's name was originally listed & spelled as Rosy SLAZJK DUBIEL, but her name was also crossed out and Rose SLOSIK DUBIEL put in its place. Rose's maiden surname was spelled numerous ways, mostly phonetically, just as it was pronounced/spoken to the person who was recording the data.
Walter's father's name was originally shown as Jan DUBIEL, but it too was crossed out to show the anglicized first name of John DUBIEL instead.
