Joseph Milburn "Joe" Cash, age 78, of Jasper, TN, passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was born and reared in Jasper, Tennessee.

Joe was a star athlete for Marion County High School. He was named for "All City, All Area, and All State" teams. During his senior year, he was honored as a High School All American in basketball averaging 32 points a game. He was , also, All American in football as he earned the nickname "The Jasper Jet".

He was induced in Marion County Sports 'Hall of Fame' and his #33 jersey is on display in the Jasper Regional History Museum. His very promising career at the University of Georgia was cut short, due to injury. He returned to Chattanooga and played football for the Chattanooga Cherokees, (semi pro organization), played on some leading softball teams , including Combustion, Kobax, and others, where his homerun exploits are still talked about.

His greatest pleasure in life was the time he got to spend with his sons and granddaughters and watching them grow up.

Granddaughters--Logan Cash and Riley Cash;
Ex-Wife 26 yrs--Vicki Paris Cash; (all of Chickamauga, Georgia);
Sisters--Eva Pesnell and Milburn Webster.
