Ethel Freimuth, age 73, of 416 Park Lane, Mishicot, died Wednesday morning, November 10, 1993, after a short illness at the Two Rivers Community Hospital.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. The Rev. John Neuser will officiate with burial in parish cemetery.
Ethel was born October 19, 1920, in the Town of Gibson, daughter of the late Pascal and Libby Kronforst Brouchoud. On October 16, 1940, she married Roland Wachtel, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. He preceded her in death in 1965. They were owners and operators of the 147 Club for many years. She was then employed at Fox Hills until the time of her illness. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. Also a member of the Mishicot VFW Post No. 7753 Ladies Auxiliary
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Joan Brouchoud, Mishicot; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Bernice and Leonard Bodwin, Mishicot, Elaine Menges, and Carol and Bernard Cisler, both of Route 2, Two Rivers; a brother-in-law, James Kocian, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a sister, Marie Kocian, a brother-in-law, William R. Menges and a niece, Jane.
Friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and Saturday until we leave for the church at 10 a.m. There will be a parish memorial service at 7 p.m. and a Ladies VFW Auxialiary (sic) Service at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Memorials can be given to the American Cancer Society or the donors choice.
