WILFRED DUMAS, 85, of 45 Hedley Ave., a self-employed plasterer for 37 years before retiring, died yesterday at home. He was the husband of the late Azilda (Corriveau) Dumas .

Born in Sanford, Maine, a son of the late Wilfred and Artimise (Couture) Dumas , he lived in Central Falls for the last 59 years.

Mr. Dumas was a former director and senior vice president of Dexter Credit Union in Central Falls for 34 years. He was a communicant of St. Matthew Church in Central Falls.

He leaves six daughters, Pauline C. Kennedy of Smithfield, Helen B. Dubois of Pawtucket, Aline Y. DeRoy of Central Falls, Collette R. Racine of Miami, Fla., Jean P. Larochelle of North Attleboro, Mass., and Denise H. Ducharme of Venice, Fla.; six sons, Robert A. Dumas and Normand F. Dumas , both of Central Falls, Paul L. Dumas of Warwick, Roland O. Dumas of Woonsocket, Wilfred O. Dumas of Pawtucket, and Leo J. Dumas of Attleboro, Mass.; four sisters, Rita Preston of South Yarmouth, Mass., Rose Percy of Taunton, Mass., Lillian Dennis of South Dennis, Mass., and Doris Burr of Attleboro, Mass.; a brother, Ovila Dumas of Springvale, Maine; 35 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd., Route 122, Cumberland, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Matthew Church, Dexter Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
