Bob served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968 stationed in Seattle, WA. He served as a specialist 1st class acting sergeant and received an honorable discharge. In his younger years, Bob was a gifted athlete. He excelled in basketball and baseball and a lifelong fan of the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team.
Bob enjoyed crossword puzzles, completing them in pen; watching sports on T.V. and history. When his health permitted, he enjoyed trips to Sunset Beach, NC and daytrips with his wife. Bob's loyal and steady influence will be sorely missed by his family.
Surviving is his loving wife, Regina M. Sexton who he married on June 20, 1981; son, Jay (Tiffany) Sexton; daughter, Christina (Kevin) Collins; stepsons, John and Guy Brookshier; grandson, Tony (Rachel) Sexton; step-grandchildren, Allison and Caden Brookshier; great-grandchildren, Breonna, Alyssa and Kailyn Sexton; brothers, George, Jim (Anna) and sister, Betty (Ray). Bob will be greatly missed by his canine buddies, German Sheppard, Zeus and his Rottweiler, Brutus. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Gartee and sister in-law, Donna Sexton.
Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 3-8 PM where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM.
