Dennis Andrew Grimes passed away Sunday, Jan. 30. 1994 at the VA Medical Center in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio where he had been a patient for several days.

He was a native and life long resident of Richmond, Wayne, Indiana and a 1968 graduate of Richmond High School. He was a used car dealer, a member of the VFW and an Army member of the Viet Nam Conflict. We were told that Dennis died from the effects of agent orange in Viet Nam...another statistic.

Survivors included his parents, Andrew Jay and Berneice (Chambers) Grimes of Richmond. Two sons, Andy and Denny Grimes of Richmond and a daughter Dana Grimes also of Richmond; a brother Bev "Bubba" Grimes of New Paris; two sisters, Gwen Smith and Rita Kurtz of Richmond; a very special lady in his life, Barbara Robinson of Richmond; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who cared deeply of him.

Services were held on Feb. 2, 1994 at Doan and Mills Funeral Home in Richmond, Indiana by the Rev. Edward R. McFarland. Buriel was in Goshen Cemetery, Richmond, Indiana.

(Dennis was a kind gentle man. He was there for us at a time in our lives when we needed the support...when our Mother passed away. Barbara, my sister, and him planned on marriage but the Lord took him before they got married. (He passed from the effects of "Agent Orange" in Vietnam.) He was there for our Mom in her final days. He was there with her when she passed. Mom loved Dennis and knew he was a good man. Dennis has been gone a few years now but the memory of him lingers in our hearts for a life time. R.I.P. to the brother I never had because in life I loved you as a brother.)
