Obituary for Erma Ann Anderson
Erma Anderson, age 78, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, August 5, 2016, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.

Erma was born on August 16, 1937, to Alfred and Magdeline (Hoffman) Darr in Appleton, MN. She was the youngest of three girls and had two sisters, Inga and Doris. She attended school and graduated from Appleton High School.

On August 4, 1956, Erma married Kenneth Anderson in Appleton. Kenneth was in the service, and shortly after their marriage, they both went to Germany where Laura their first child was born. They returned to Fergus Falls where they made their home.

Erma worked at the telephone company and the couple tried their hand at farming in the Dalton area for a time. During this time, three more children were born, Doreen and twins, Mark and David. When the telephone company closed Erma attended Minnesota State College in Fergus Falls, where she earned her LPN degree. She retired from the Fergus Falls RTC after a long and fulfilling career.

Erma loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Everyone had a ball with her. She was a force to be reckoned with. Erma loved her extended families and spent lots of fun days with her wonderful friends. Her family hopes that everyone who met and spent time with Erma will think fondly of her. She had a big heart and it was full of love for the people around her. Erma was a whirl of movement and never sat still until she had to at the end. Her family would like to thank all of you for being a part of their mom’s life journey and know how much you helped her laugh and have a heck of a good time. Farewell Erma, you shall be missed!

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ken Anderson; a sister Inga Muska; and a son-in-law, Tim Hauge.

Erma is survived by her children, Laura (Victor) Biegler of Pelican Rapids, Doreen Hauge of Detroit Lakes, David (Heidi Gomez) Anderson of Moorhead, and Mark (Lee Bartel) Anderson of St. Cloud; her grandchildren, Sara and Aaron Biegler, Rachel and Abby Hauge, and Noah and Andrina Anderson; eight grand-children; a sister, Doris (Clarence) Blahosky of Cold Spring; and a sister-in-law, Marlys Buntji of Morris.
