Bradley Hale Warren, 63, of Bemidji, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007 at his home near Puposky.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji with Daniel Frishman officiating. Another memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 at his farm with family and friends.


He was born Nov. 18, 1943, to Richard and Dorothy "Dot" (Brown) Warren in Concord, Mass. They moved to Barrington, N.H., in 1948, where his father was a professor at Durham University and they farmed 360 acres. He graduated from Dover High School in 1961. He graduated from Durham University in 1965 with a degree in business management and graduated with a master's degree from Duke University in 1970.

He met Anita Couture in 1960. They dated for six years and were married April 23, 1966. They had 4 children.

He was employed by Norbord Inc. in Solway from 1980 to 1995 as woodlands manager. From 1995 on, he had enjoyed his time as an independent logger.

He enjoyed nature, hunting, fishing and managing his forests. He was an ardent NASCAR dirt track race car enthusiast. He attended regional and national races.

He was a friend and volunteer and enjoyed helping others. He was a devoted Christian.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Warren; children, Rodney Hale Warren, Michael Earl Warren, Michelle Ann Warren and Kimberly Anita Warren; 10 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Peter Warren, and Randy Warren; and sister, Ann Kost.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests people to plant trees.
