PAYNE, Jan Glee; age 79; of Commerce Township, Michigan; passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Jan was the “wife of a lifetime” to her ball player husband of 60 years, Robert G. Payne; best mom ever to Robert Payne, Cheryl Payne, Dena (Jim) Kruzan, and Janine Payne; loving granny to nine grandchildren, Rob (Amanda), Lee, Dan, Kaylee, Trevon, Caity, Brynn, Brendan, and Jayden; loving great granny to two great grandchildren: Rachiele, Logan, and expected namesake Bailey. The family welcomed friends at the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Rd., Highland, MI, on Saturday, December 13, from 4 p.m until 8 p.m. Services were held at the above location on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. The Payne family kindly requested donations be made out to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org [Published in The Oakland Press on Dec. 13, 2014]
