Bedford – Milton E. Gene Bryant, 66, of Bedford, died Saturday. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard in Bloomington. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Milton E. “Gene” Bryant, 66
March 4, 1950-August 6, 2016
Bedford – Milton E. “Gene” Bryant, 66, of Bedford and formerly of Bloomington, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Gene was born March 4, 1950, in Rapid City, South Dakota, and was the son of the late Keith “Bud” and Mary (Todd) Bryant. Gene worked for many years as a drywall finisher and loved spending time with his family and his dogs, especially his favorite dog, Evie. He loved music and fast classic cars. He attended New Horizon Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Bedford; his daughter and her husband of Bedford; his granddaughter of Bedford; his daughter and her husband, of Henryville; a niece of Bloomington who Gene helped raise and was just like his daughter; and four brothers, two sisters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers and sisters, Connie Bryant, Linda Bryant, Ronnie Bryant and Danny Bryant.
Services for Gene will be 2 p.m. Thursday Aug. 11, 2016, at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St., Bloomington. Burial will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at The Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or New Horizon Church.
