Elizabeth Lyon Mann, 104, of Royal care Assisted Living, Staunton ,formerly of Shipman, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016, in Staunton. She was born July 16, 1912, in Elma, Virginia the daughter of the late Leonard Davis and Grace Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Nicholas Ludwell Lyon and her second husband, John A. Mann; a son, John Leonard Lyon; four brothers, Frank, John, Jim and Walter; and a sister, Irene.Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Grace Morris and husband, Harold of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Bland Wade Jr. (Amy), Deborah Cortes (Ricky) and David Wade (Terry), also Rachel Morris and Harold Morris Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Morgan Wade, Molly Wade and Diego Cortes.She was a member of Nelson United Methodist Church.A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at 3 p.m. with The Rev. Jake Stewart officiating at Davis Cemetery in Shipman.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Shenandoah, 64 Sports Medicine Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939. Arrangements under the direction of Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel, Lovingston, VA (434-263-4097).
