Nicholas Jenkins, 35, of Vermontville passed away unexpectedly at his residence on August 4, 2016. He was born on December 15, 1980, to David Jenkins and Holly (Johnson) Jenkins-Paul in Berrien Springs, MI. Nick was an extremist who did everything to 110% standard. He loved to cook HUGE meals. If he went hunting, it was an expedition. He was the best at whatever he did, and became an expert at whatever he put his mind to; including hand carved turkey calls, taxidermy of his own mounts, and bow hunting.

Nick was kind and loving, and what you would call a "social butterfly," making friends easily, and a superb negotiator with his hunt for bargains. He was a jack of all trades, an artist with concrete in his masonry trade. He loved to vacation at Lake Michigan and could be found snoozing on the beach as one of his favorite pastimes while there.

Nick is survived by his wife, Christina; children, Anna Anson, Asialyn Jenkins, Temperance Jenkins, Derek Jenkins, Noelle Jenkins; father, David Jenkins; mother Holly Jenkins-Paul; siblings, Kimberly Wallis, David Jenkins, and Christopher (Christina) Paul; grandfather Darwin "Doc" Johnson; father-in-law, Paul and Marcie Racine; grandparents-in-law Larry and Leila Seymour; Sister-in-law Stephanie (Terry) Barfield; brothers-in-law Rob (Sheri) Racine, and Nate (Roxie) Racine . He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Ryan.

Funeral services are Friday, August 12th, 2016, 5 PM at Pray Funeral Home with Chuck Jenson officiating. Visitation is 3-5 PM on Friday, August 12, 2016. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to the family.
