Buda, Illinois, Friday, April 21, 1899 - DROWNED -
News was received here the first of the week that the son of David Hildreth and wife (nee Mary Boyer) was drowned in the Mississippi River just above Burlington last Monday. He was their only son, a young man of about twenty-two years, William Eugene and was born in Buda. Lynd Boyer went to Galesburg Tuesday and word was received from his sister Mrs. Miller, who had gone to Wapella, Iowa where the family lives, that the body had not been found. Mr. Boyer returned Thursday.
He has 4 siblings, Isabelle Lillian Snively; Frederick, Margaret J, & Marjorie Bessie Taylor.
