Flora Elizabeth "Betty" Horton, 88, of 915 N.E. Fifth Street died at 3 a.m. Tuesday at Daviess Community Hospital. Mrs. Horton was born October 28, 1915 in Terre Haute, IN to Benjamin Harrison and Hallie Hazel {Spainhour) Jones.
Flora married Herman H. Horton on December 19, 1936 and he passed away on December 21, 2003. Also deceased are one brother; Bert Jones and one sister; Olive Jones.
She was a homemaker, she attended Washington schools. Betty was a member of Hudsonville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters; Dana and husband Reldon Bateman, Elaine Horton, one son; John P Horton, a sister Joan Henson, three brothers; Don, Mark and Sam Jones all of Washington, IN. Betty also has nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
The Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Gill Chapel, with Revs. Jeff Jones and Frederick Cain officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
