Margaret Frances Connor was born October 28, 1925 to William Thomas and Laura Rachel Bowman in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. She departed this life August 5, 2016 at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 8 days.

She had made the Bristow area her residence for over fifty-five years. On April 1, 1950, James Elvis Connor Sr. and Margaret Frances Bowman were united in marriage. They enjoyed 43 years together before his passing on April 30, 1993.

She retired from Miss Elaine’s Garment Factory after thirty-nine years of employment. She was member of the Rebekah’s for over fifty years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going out to eat and traveling.

She is survived by three children, James Elvis Connor Jr. of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Linda Alcorn and husband Larry of Bristow, Oklahoma and Laura Henderson-Spradlin and husband Tom of Bristow, Oklahoma; two brothers, Arthur Bowman of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Harold Bowman; three sisters, Shirley Moss of Bristow, Oklahoma, Louise Baker of Wellington, Kansas and Edna Vickers of Houston, Texas. She also has six grandchildren and fourteen Great Grandchildren. She also had her best friend, Judy Hill as well as special loving neighbors Billy & Trish Lawrence and John & Linda Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James E. Connor Sr., three brothers, Charles Bowman, Bill Bowman and Carl Bowman, sister, Imogene Riggs, Son in law, Jim R. Henderson and special sister, Evelyn Allison.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Grandson, Michael Bush officiating. Interment will be at the Bristow City Cemetery.
