Mr. Bobby Joe Pryor, 76, a resident of Laurel, MS passed from this life on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at his residence in Laurel. He was born on Friday, February 23, 1940 to Olene Pryor. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He worked as a manager for Christian Auto and Motor Supply. He later retired as a salesman at O'Reilly Auto Parts and he and his wife started B & B Farms. Mr. Pryor is preceded in death by his mother, Olene Phillips; step father, Louis Phillips. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda Sue Pryor of Laurel; 2 daughters, Susan Brashier (Henry) of Heidelberg, Julie McKee (Marty) of Waynesboro; son, Joshua Pryor (Carola) of Laurel; 2 special aunts, Ruth Maxcey, Thelma Waltman (Charles) both of Laurel; 4 grandsons, Matthew McKee of Waynesboro, Landen Carlisle, Elie Carlisle, Peyton Pryor all of Laurel. Visitation for Mr. Pryor will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 5, 2016 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 6, 2016 with a lie-in-state from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Laurel with Dr. Dave Moran and Rev. Marvin Griffin officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Laurel.
