He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in a B-24 bomber in the China-Burma- India Theater.
Mr. Brown enjoyed hunting, reading and bird feeding. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Penn State University Alumni Association, a charter member of the Martinsburg Sportsmen’s Association and a member of the Woodbury Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, Roaring Spring. Surviving are his wife; and a sister, Audrey B. Smith of Martinsburg. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg. BROWN — Funeral services for Robert O. Brown of 490 Cherry St., Martinsburg, will be held at ll a.m. Monday at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Martinsburg, by Pastor Timothy H. Knauss. Interment will be made at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, where a masonic service will be held at 2 p.m. He also is survived by a niece, Marjorie Replogle of Martinsburg RR 2. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
