He resided in Fairfield County, Connecticut prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on March 15, 1943 in New Haven, Connecticut. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Machinist and also as Single, without dependents.

Sidney "Died Of Wounds" received in action during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
