Missionary Julia Goodwin, a resident of Seattle, WA, departed this life peacefully at the age of 86 on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 8:15 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Tacoma, WA. She was born in Kennydale, WA to Marcus McDonald, Sr. & Elsie Mary Harding, both preceded her in death. Her brothers, Alexander, Marcus, Jr., George, Sr., Carl, Richard, Sr., Arthur, Sr. Harding, and sister Alice Harding Bradford, all preceded her in death. As a lifelong resident of the Seattle/Renton area, she attended Kennydale Grade School and graduated from Renton High School. She retired from Seattle Public Schools in 1996. Missionary Goodwin was married to Lee R. Goodwin, Sr., deceased, for more than 50 years. She leaves to mourn her children: (Sons) Lee, Jr., Gregory, Carl, Sr., Stephan, Sr., and Marcus Goodwin; (daughters) Carolyn Grant (Rudolph), Gail Giles and Kimberly Goodwin.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Harding, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. For over 50 years she had been a faithful member, prayer warrior and missionary of God’s Pentecostal Temple Visitation on Thursday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Greenwood Memorial Park Chapel, 350 Monroe Ave N.E., Renton, WA. Homegoing Celebration on Friday, June 3, 11 a.m., God’s Pentecostal Temple, 150 16th Ave, Seattle, WA. Interment at Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
