A retired painter, he was born March 2, 1900, in Sarcoxie, MO., a son of Henry and Louise Gasperson Burden. He had lived in Francesville for two and a half years, moving there from Chicago. His marriage to Miss. Bernice M. Haring took place in 1925.
Surviving are the wife: two sons, Bill E. Burdin of Maitland, Fla., and Russell L. Burden of Carpentersville, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Jett of Joplin, Mo.; a brother, Dylse Burden of Kansas City, Mo.
Final rites will be held Friday afternoon at three o'clock, at the Querry-Ulbricht Funeral home. The Rev. Jerry Lily will officiate. Burial will be in the Roselawn cemetery.
