ROSCOE COOK, FARMER SOLDIER, DIES IN WEST

After suffering for several months from tuberculosis, Roscoe Cook, 24, a former member of the 59th Pioneer Regiment, died in the Fitzsimmons General Hospital, Denver, Col., yesterday. He lived at the home of Mrs. Mary Kirkley, 505 Poplar street, now of 714 Poplar street, for nine years.
Cook re-enlisted in 1921 in the hospital detachment of the medical corps of the army. He was sent to the Letterman General Hospital, San Francisco, Cal., but later was transferred to the Fitzsimmons Hospital in Denver, Col., the place of his death. He had been in the latter place for seven months. He was a native of New Jersey.
The body will be shipped to this city where the funeral services will be conducted at the home of Mrs. Kirkley.
Funeral Director H. Herbert Hirzel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Military Funeral for R. Cook

The funeral of Roscoe Cook, former member of Company H, 59th Pioneers, who died at Denver, Col., on Sunday will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the residence of Mrs. Mary Kirkley, 14 Poplar street. Rev. George White Dawson will officiate. Six former soldiers who served with Cook will act as pall-bearers. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery.
Cook served in France. His body is expected to arrive in this city Thursday.
