Larry Timothy Spurlock, age 50, formerly of Gladewater, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 2, 2016, at his home in the Blanchard Community near Shreveport. He was born Feb. 4, 1966, in Carthage to Joel Wayne Spurlock and Nancy Sharon Alford Spurlock. Growing up, Larry attended school in Channelview, TX. He worked as an auto mechanic and in his off time enjoyed tinkering with any kind of motor. He was of Baptist faith. Larry was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Nancy Donahoe of Hardin, TX; son, Ryan Spurlock of Gladewater; daughters, Laura Graf and husband Mathew of Blanchard and Mindy Spurlock of Shreveport; brothers, Donnie Spurlock of Richmond, TX and Johnny Spurlock and wife April of Hardin; step-sister, Laura Jent and husband Matthew of LaPorte, TX; aunt, Joyce Alford Sloan of Stonewall, LA; uncles, Tommy Spurlock and wife Virginia of Joaquin and John Alford and wife Lori of Hallsville; 7 grandchildren, Haileigh, Khailee, Tyler, Chase, Khileigh, Morgan, and Greyson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, August, 5, 2016 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Jonathan Spurlock officiating.
Pallbearers are Ryan Spurlock, Mathew Graf, Joey Spurlock, Kenny Davis, Frankie Hartley, and Gerald Allen.
