Eunice C. (Livgren) Boyd, 91, died Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Harvard Rest Haven in Harvard, NE.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday August 5, 2016 at the Clay Center Christian Church with Rich Milliken and Kevin Whitmore officiating. Interment will follow at the Clay Center Cemetery in Clay Center, NE.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.

Eunice was born to Albert and Judith (Johnson) Livgren on the family farm north of Clay Center on November 24, 1924. She attended The Price Country School District 34 and graduated from Clay Center High School in 1942.

She married Clayton Boyd on January 24, 1943 at her parent’s home. They lived on the east coast during WWII. Following the war, the couple worked together farming southwest of Clay Center and building homes. In 1963, they bought the local lumber yard and continued to run the business as Boyd Lumber Company. She managed the lumberyard office and kept the books until 1990 when they sold the business. Clayton passed away in 1990.

She was a member of Clay Center Christian Church where she taught Sunday school, Bible school, sang in the choir and small groups. As a cancer survivor she was active in the Relay for Life. In her later years she and her brother, Dale, musically entertained at several nursing homes. Her love for music was always a big part of her life.

She will be missed by her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Ruth Livgren, daughter and son-in-law, Ramona and Ken Spray of Clay Center, NE; and daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Kenton Cleveland of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Daniel (Karen) Spray of Norfolk, NE; Michael (Lindsey) Spray of Clay Center, NE; Johnathan (Elizabeth) Spray of Norfolk, NE; Andrea (Jake) Eyler of Independence, MO; Ashley Cleveland of Kansas City, MO; great-grandchildren, Clayton Spray; Benjamin Spray; Timothy Spray; Joshua Spray; Owen Spray; Emmett Spray; Alia Eyler; Quinn Spray; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clayton; brother, Arnold and sister, Thelma.
