He was born on February 17, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio to the late David A. and Fanney (Hammond) Adams.
David was a U.S. Army Veteran and proudly served on the Knox County Joint Veterans Council for many years. He was a member of the Danville U.M.C., Amvets, VFW, Lions Club and the Eagles.
David is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (Randy) Williams of Howard, Debra (Jerry) Spaulding of Newark; grandchildren, David S. Adams, Brandon Spaulding, Courtney Spaulding, Eric (Julie) Spaulding, Chele Ahle; great-grandchildren, AJ, Breylee, Traike, Maxx and Lauren; two sisters, Joanne Coder and Nancy Sparrow; along with many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
Besides his parents, David was preceded in by his wife Martha Anne Adams, two brothers, Art and Bill Adams, and a sister Bonnie Pruitt.
Private burial will take place in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 – 1:00 PM at Apple Valley Club House. The Lasater Funeral Homes are handling the services for the Adams family.Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Rd., Mount Vernon 43050
