David R. Adams, age 87, of Howard, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Friday, April 15, 2016.
He was born on February 17, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio to the late David A. and Fanney (Hammond) Adams.
David was a U.S. Army Veteran and proudly served on the Knox County Joint Veterans Council for many years. He was a member of the Danville U.M.C., Amvets, VFW, Lions Club and the Eagles.
David is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (Randy) Williams of Howard, Debra (Jerry) Spaulding of Newark; grandchildren, David S. Adams, Brandon Spaulding, Courtney Spaulding, Eric (Julie) Spaulding, Chele Ahle; great-grandchildren, AJ, Breylee, Traike, Maxx and Lauren; two sisters, Joanne Coder and Nancy Sparrow; along with many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
Besides his parents, David was preceded in by his wife Martha Anne Adams, two brothers, Art and Bill Adams, and a sister Bonnie Pruitt.
Private burial will take place in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 – 1:00 PM at Apple Valley Club House.
