Rachel Watson
1994-2016
There was a moment tonight probably missed by all but the most sensitive, where all creatures great and small paused in acknowledgement. They bore silent witness as a spirit who all her life had radiated her love to them was lifted to heaven. Unlike the humans she left behind, there was no sadness only a silent tribute to one so precious. From the tiny kitten to the stately lion, they watched as their friend on Earth left to begin her time with Jesus. Rachel Watson lost her battle with Batten Disease, and began her new journey in heaven on August 2nd, in a new body ready to run and talk and SEE. "She is the purest and best of all of us," her daddy proclaimed daily.
Rachel was born Jan. 28, 1994 in Galveston, TX. She attended school in the Cypress-Fairbanks school district where she affected many lives.
Survived by: parents, Sam and Melinda Watson; brother, Luke Watson; grandparents, Jackie Richards and husband Bill of Bryan, TX, Sam Moore and wife Joyce of Longview, TX, John and Ann Watson of Chappell Hill, TX; aunts, uncles, and cousins galore.
Funeral services will be Sat., Aug. 6th at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church, Chappell Hill, TX. Burial in the Masonic Cemetery.
Memorials requested to: The Luke and Rachel Batten Foundation, 15120 Mesa Red Ct, Cypress, TX, 77433, the family continues to battle Batten Disease.
