She was born in Muirhead, Scotland, on Feb. 17, 1940, immigrated to the U.S. working as a nanny until meeting and marrying her beloved husband, Joseph Ellis, who survives her.
Gina worked many jobs but her most notable was being a dressmaker at her own store, "New Beginnings" in Uncasville.
Calling hours/visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at noon at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
