Darlene Erickson died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 90.
Darlene Erickson was born January 28, 1926, in Granite Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Sam and Amanda (Keifer) Messerli. She attended school in Maynard. Darlene was united in marriage with James Erickson on February 23, 1946. Their union was blessed three children. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Darlene was a homemaker and she enjoyed cooking and baking for the family. She always entertained family for the holidays. She enjoyed bowling and bowled in league for many years. She loved spending time with family and friends and especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Darlene moved to Copper Glen in April of 2015.
Cherishing her memory are her children: Sandi and Tom; grandchildren: Amy, Andy and Jeanna; great-grandchildren: Morgan, Chase, and Leighton.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James in 2003; a daughter, Sharon Mooney; a granddaughter, Julia Hadrath; three brothers: Virgil, Robert, and Cecil Messerli; and one sister, Bernice Bang.
